This is a problem that plagued me for quite while, and it required two fixes in my setup (which runs Server 2003; not sure how this affects 2008/R2). One of the fixes now lets the Windows Server 2003 DHCP service update DNS dynamically for any client that connects. The other fix is a problem with Fedora 14's NetworkManager. More of a workaround, though.
